"Experientia docet" - Experience is the best teacher

Good day

I trust this email finds you well. I am a graduate within the Animal Science field and have been to one of the SASAS Congresses, such an amazing event that brings students and Animal Science professionals together.

I am writing this email in request for a special session at this year's congress where students and Animal Science companies could interact. This request came as a realization that as graduates within the field, we do not know much about what is expected from us in the corporate/ working field, as companies have their own areas of specialization.

During this session, companies may brief students what they are all about, their objectives within the field,  animal science products they produce, their method of production, their specific targets, and most importantly; what they are looking for in candidates they are to employ. Students may also engage and ask questions. This will help students to prepare themselves for the working field, knowing exactly what is expected from them. Not only students will benefit, but the companies as well.

Animal Science plays a major role in sustaining food security within South Africa; empowering student knowledge on what the fields are all about and the work done by different organizations will help build and develop young professionals who will help in building the Animal Science field for the better.

I would be delighted to get feedback on my request.

Kind Regards

Kekae Kelebogile
